What is ProVen?

ProVen is a range of high potency probiotic products. ProVen Adult and ProVen Child both contain four different types of bacteria, each specially selected to effectively populate the intestine and then provide maximum health benefits.

We call these special bacteria the LAB4 group. The reason we have four strains of friendly bacteria is that the two Lactobacillus types populate the small intestine, and the two Bifidobacteria populate the large intestine.

How Does ProVen Work?

When you take ProVen - with food - the beneficial LAB4
bacteria, become activated in the stomach and then begin to populate both the small and large intestine, filing in any gaps where good bacteria have been lost. Due to the very high numbers of bacteria in ProVen, the effect is that unfriendly bacteria begin to be crowded out. Continued supplementation
provide a constant top up of this good bacterial balance. This process is particularly important following the use of antibiotics, which have the effect of depleting the numbers of good bacteria in the intestine.

Over 70% of the body’s defence system is concentrated into the intestine. The presence of the friendly bacteria in high numbers appears to help boost these defences, - a benefit which may be particularly important at certain times of the year.
